Effective date: January 1, 2026
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the website at salinasinsulation.com (the "Site") and any services provided by Salinas Insulation ("we," "us," or "our"). By using the Site or engaging our services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site or our services. We may update these Terms at any time by posting a revised version on this page with an updated effective date.
By accessing the Site, submitting a contact or estimate request, or entering into a service agreement with Salinas Insulation, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. These Terms apply to all visitors, customers, and other users of the Site or our services. If you are entering into these Terms on behalf of a company or other legal entity, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity.
Salinas Insulation provides residential and commercial insulation and air sealing services in the Salinas, California area and surrounding communities. Our services include, but are not limited to, spray foam insulation, attic insulation, blown-in insulation, crawl space insulation, wall insulation, air sealing, vapor barrier installation, insulation removal, and related work.
The information on the Site is provided for general informational purposes. It does not constitute a binding offer, contract, or guarantee of availability. Services are subject to our assessment of your specific property and our current scheduling capacity.
All estimates are provided free of charge following an on-site assessment of your property. Written estimates are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated in the estimate document.
Estimates are based on conditions observed at the time of the site visit. If hidden conditions are discovered during the course of work, such as existing damage, mold, structural issues, or conditions that materially affect the scope, we will stop work and notify you before proceeding. Any additional cost must be agreed to in writing before work continues.
Prices quoted do not include permit fees unless expressly stated in the written estimate. Permit fees, if applicable, are the responsibility of the property owner unless we have agreed in writing to absorb them.
Work dates are confirmed in writing via email or text message. To cancel or reschedule a confirmed job, please contact us at least 48 hours before the scheduled start time. We reserve the right to charge a trip fee for cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice if crew and materials have already been dispatched or staged.
We reserve the right to reschedule jobs due to weather conditions, equipment issues, or other circumstances beyond our control. We will notify you as soon as possible and work with you to identify the next available date.
For spray foam insulation projects, you and all occupants, including pets, are required to vacate the premises during installation and for the re-entry period specified in your written estimate, typically 24 hours. Failure to vacate as required may result in cancellation of the job and a rescheduling fee.
Payment terms are set out in the written estimate or service agreement for each job. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, payment is due in full upon completion of work. For larger projects, we may require a deposit before work begins; the deposit amount and schedule will be stated in the written estimate.
Accepted payment methods are stated in your estimate. We do not accept credit cards unless expressly noted. Past-due balances may be subject to a late fee of 1.5% per month or the maximum rate permitted by California law, whichever is lower.
If payment is not received when due, we reserve the right to place a mechanics lien on the property in accordance with California law. You are responsible for any reasonable collection costs, including attorney fees, incurred to recover unpaid amounts.
You are responsible for ensuring we have safe and adequate access to the work area on the scheduled date, including clearing the attic, crawl space, or other areas of stored belongings as directed in the pre-job instructions we provide.
You are also responsible for disclosing any known conditions at the property that may affect the work, including the presence of asbestos, lead paint, knob-and-tube wiring, active pest infestations, or prior water damage. We are not liable for issues arising from undisclosed conditions.
We warrant our workmanship for a period of 1 year from the date of job completion. If a defect in our installation is identified within that period, we will return to assess the issue and correct it at no charge, provided the defect is attributable to our work and not to conditions caused by the property owner, other contractors, or events beyond our control.
Materials and products we install are subject to the manufacturers' warranties, which vary by product. We will provide manufacturer documentation upon request. Our workmanship warranty does not extend to manufacturer defects in products; those claims are handled directly with the manufacturer.
Except as stated here, we make no other warranties, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. Estimates of energy savings are projections based on available information and are not guaranteed outcomes.
To the fullest extent permitted by California law, Salinas Insulation shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Site or our services, including loss of profits, loss of data, or property damage not directly caused by our negligence.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from our services is limited to the amount you paid us for the specific job giving rise to the claim. This limitation applies regardless of the legal theory under which the claim is brought.
If you have a concern about our services or a billing dispute, please contact us directly first. Most issues can be resolved quickly with a direct conversation. You can reach us at projects@salinasinsulation.com or by calling (831) 243-7355.
If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, the parties agree to attempt mediation through a mutually agreed-upon mediator before initiating any legal proceeding. If mediation is unsuccessful, either party may pursue available legal remedies.
Any legal action arising out of these Terms or our services must be filed in the state or federal courts of Monterey County, California. Both parties consent to personal jurisdiction and venue in those courts.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of CA (California), without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Any dispute arising from these Terms or our services will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Monterey County, California.
